Category: Let's talk
Hi all!
Any plans to ring in new year's eve?
Thus far, I'm spending it alone. Does anyone have suggestions to make mine more interesting? I thought about maybe ordering out..lol not sure if I want chinese or pizza lol..what about you all?
This New Year's Eeve will be different. All the other years I've either been at my father's house, at my mom and stepfather's house while they argued drunkenly, or in foster care with people who I didn't know or get along with well. I'm finally in a more stable environment, with my aunt and uncle. This Christmas was great and very pleasant.
As far as ordering out, I'd say pizza and hot wings with a big bottle of rootbeer would hit the spot.
This New Year's Eve and New Year's will probably be the same for me this year as all the others. I probably won't do much of anything. New Year's is one holiday that, like Valentine's Day,I've always considered more or less a waste of time.
We'll probably hang out with our neighbors. They're an awesome couple and one of their kids is my son's best buddy. They have a daughter who is hell on 2 legs so hopefully she'll crash early so we can actually enjoy the evening.
Either way, it'll be a blast!
Love the new years eve, but this year I have chosen to spend it at home alone.
I'll sip a sip, listen to music and talk to the people I like to talk to on the phone, computer.
Normally go out, but not this one.
totally with post 3.
will be treated like any other day
working and then enjoying dinner at friend's house with my husband. Prob might drink a lil somethin something as the ball drops once am back at home.
Awww, come on you party poopers, I'm sorry some of you are spending new years eve alone, but I'll take any excuse for a holiday to celebrate. Just life, if nothing more.
My partner and I wanted to do something diffferent for new years this year, but it looks like a pizza and champagne party for us again, just like the past few years since I've been with him. Except this time, I can actually drink champagne since I'm not pregnant and not underage, and we'll ring in the new year with our baby boy in tow. Plus, I invited my loner cousin to come and have some pizza and bubbly with us. Can't hurt to have the more, the merrier.
I think, if I'm up to it in the morning, I'll also whip us up a spankin, yummy tripple chocolate cake to have especially at midnight.
Now, that's a fine new years party if you ask me. although it would have been nice to prearrange an outing with the fiance instead, for a change of scenery. Oh well. we'll still have a blast.
I'm going to ride an ostrich up and down the street, eat cheese and play bocce ball on the side of a hill. Oh...oh wait! Yeah, that's right
i listened to the new year's eve party on mint fm (well what else?). i love that station.
then at midnight when the chimes rang out for the new year, i drank some becardi and coke and listened to some fireworks going off outside my window
lol I totally forgot I posted this!
I actually ended up going out with a friend to a bar that was having a band play. The band was not bad, the drinks were pretty decent and the food good. That was my 1st new year's eve I'd ever gone out to a place. It was fun!
Well 2013 will be a year of change for me, me moving back to the city, so who knows then? The daughter and her friends of course had their tradition of going out but she'll be on her own next year, so whatever we got we will spend on us for that time.
